All workshops are led by teacher/director Stephanie Crugnola who has a Master's Degree in Early Modern English Literature and 15 years of education experience with elementary students through adults.
1 Day Shakespeare Workshop
5 Hours (Max 15 Actors)
This workshop is designed to provide an overview of Shakespearean language: the rhythm, structure, and vocabulary training necessary to understand a play and develop a character. In a collaborative environment, actors will work on monologues and scenes for experience and use in future auditions.
Each actor will receive language handouts, a one minute monologue tailored to their goals, and a role in a two or three person scene.
Breakdown:
1 Hour Language Work
2 Hours Monologue Work
2 Hours Scene Work
3 Day Shakespeare Workshop
3 Hours per day (9 Hours Total) (Max 20 Actors)
This workshop is designed to provide a detailed look at Shakespearean language. Participants will mark the rhythms of text and practice translating pieces into modern English for the benefit of their understanding. In a collaborative environment, actors will work on monologues and scenes for experience and use in future auditions.
Each actor will receive language handouts, a one minute monologue tailored to their goals, and a role in a two-four person scene.
Breakdown:
Day 1: 1:30 Hour Language Work, 1 Hour Monologue read through and translation, :30 Minute Scene assignment/ reading
Day 2: 1 Hour blocking scenes, 2 Hours mixed monologue and scene development
Day 3 Option 1: 1:30 Hour Review of scenes and monologues, 1:30 "recital" open to friends and family
Day 3: Option 2: 1:30 Hour Work on scenes and monologues, 1:30 Presentation of scenes and monologues to classmates

Small group or individual sessions available in the following packages:
Script to Stage Audition Package (2 sessions)
Standard Audition Coaching (1 session)
Script to Stage Audition Package
For the actor looking for the perfect monologue and tailoring it towards upcoming auditions. In the first session we will work to find the right monologue for each actor, fitting his or her specific type, voice, and energy and go through detailed language work finding beats and the character arc. In the second session (at least one week later), we will stage and rehearse the monologue choice and go through a mock audition.

For the actor looking to fine tune and prepare his or her audition monologue, this session includes rehearsing each actor's monologue and staging a mock audition.
