Artistic Director: Stephanie Crugnola

Stephanie Crugnola is a jack of all trades, Master of Early Modern English Literature (King's College, London). She taught high school for 13 years and has been running Walking Shadow for 11.
Stephanie has been performing for three decades, through acting, directing, and figure skating. On stage she has directed and acted in classical and contemporary plays, musicals, and improvisational performances across six states, two countries, and globally through the pandemic. She also produces and hosts a weekly Shakespeare podcast: Protest too Much, that features a new global guest each week to chat about Shakespeare best-of's.
Stephanie began Walking Shadow Shakespeare Project to give actors in her area an opportunity to perform Shakespeare in a fun and educational environment and has directed most of their shows. She also has devised several unique and innovative Shakespeare production formats including the Interactive Educational Series, One-Rehearsal Productions, and Shakespeare-themed speed dating! She believes above all that there is a place for everyone in Shakespeare's canon, and hopes to bring joy, laughter, and growth to everyone who she is lucky enough to work with.
